If you’re not quite mortgage ready, our counselors will create a customized plan to; improve your credit, and/or reduce your debt, and/or help you save for a down payment at no cost to you.

When you are mortgage ready, Address Yourself will help you get a pre-approval letter from any of our credit union partners. You are now ready to go searching for your home!
After you’ve purchased your home, your Address Yourself counselor will help you stay in your house, including working side by side with you to stay on top of your mortgage and deal with the credit union.
Housing Partnership and Navicore Solutions are nonprofit HUD-approved counseling agencies that specialize in credit repair and budgeting, and can offer their services in a variety of languages.
New Jersey Community Capital (NJCC) is a community development financial institution (CDFI) that has provided support to over 100 nonprofits throughout New Jersey since 1987.
Credit Unions are nonprofits committed to providing support to their members who are also their owners. Volunteers sit on the board of directors of all credit unions ensuring that profits are used to keep costs low for members. Affinity Federal Credit Union, The Credit Union of New Jersey, and Greater Alliance Credit Unions participate in Address Yourself and offer affordable mortgage products designed especially for low-to-moderate income families.
Servicing companies collect mortgage payments from borrowers on the behalf of the lender. Address Yourself works with a credit union servicing organization (CUSO), CUMAnet LLC. The staff at CUMAnet is used to working closely with housing counselors to ensure that your family has somewhere to turn, if need ever a need arises. Credit unions are member-owned, not-for-profits committed to serving and assisting their members, who are also customers. All the members are owners of their credit union and can vote for its volunteer board of directors, Instead of providing profits to its shareholders, Credit Unions reinvest revenue to support their members. Credit Unions are insured by the National Credit Union Administration. Your counselor will help you identify several different lenders and loan products, including credit unions.
